Netbook

After running a Dell Mini 9 with an illicit operating system on it for a few days, and with a built in cell modem, I wonder if Apple’s netbook (which you have to know they’re working on) will be a way they extend their deal with AT&T? An Apple netbook, half an inch thich, 5 hours battery life with built in 3G modem would basically murder small children and laugh about it while others cheered. Meaning it’d be awesome but make the Dell look like My First Sony.

    Hey Ethan,

I too have been running that illicitly installed (but legally purchased) OS on a Dell Mini9 – solid state drive, no moving parts baby!

It’s great fun and runs very smoothly, but I show it to everyone I know not to convince them to do the same, but in the hopes of somehow helping a grassroots push for Apple to finally release their own.

But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE not locked to AT&T. Those of us who spend a lot of time in rural areas need a ~real~ ISP, and unfortunately AT&T is simply not it.
