Please, will someone put a fucking fork in “The Cloud” as a term already? You know who’ll own the cloud? The people who own the pipes! Until we treat TCP/IP traffic agnostically, the concept of “the Cloud” is bunk. There is, for media, etc, a fundamental legal difference between TCP/IP over cell and over 802.11X. And even then, the concept of agnostic interference through regularly routed TCP/IP (not cell) is going to go away no matter how much we don’t want it to. In the end, the Cloud only exists when a packet is a packet and a datagram and datagram. Lets hope THAT continues.
