Why tech leaders think Second Life could be a gold mine. – Jan. 22, 2007: the problem with articles like this is I never get the sense that the writer spent time in-world. I love Second Life, but the experience in-world is still not great because of the client graphics issues and server scalability and bandwidth. It has potential, but only if the company can keep momentum alive while the community helps the product with its graphics. Until SL is 15fps and smooth, it won’t take the place of gaming.
