Throwaway Identities

Throwaway Identities: I think the one thing missing from identity management in the online space is that they are not informed by shifting discourse and identity frameworks. THey don’t “grow” with the user. Discussion board identities sometimes have the same problem. Time is but one metric on top of discourse around an identity, that is easily mutable, changable and subjective. Until we give temporal basis to a given identity, they are disposable as personas existing on one person from ages 13-22.
