First Impression of the Web 2.0 Conference
A lot of suits. A lot of VC firms, very little hard-core “geek” geeks (you know, those kind). A lot more Banana Republic than Gap (yours truely included) and a lot of those quizzical “Do I read your blog?” glances in the hall-ways.
In other words, another conference in San Francisco.

I suppose the price tag of web2con might be a bit steep for many hard-core geeks to be en force. Very interesting glance at the conference. I just left SF after widgetslive and wondered what the crowd was like. From all reports, a larger venue might be required for the next ‘summit’. Sorry I missed Lou Reed though.
