Ain’t It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.: this excites me to no end really. The Mist was the first story that viscerally grabbed me and wouldn’t let me go when I was a kid. I read it when I was eight years old and found a paperback of Skeleton Crew in our garage. I even had the 3D audio tape of it (which was awesome too). I still read the Mist often, and I still think it is one of King’s best works. It has all the elements that make Stephen King, Stephen King. And he does “groups of people in mysterious circumstances of distress” better than JJ Abrams could ever hope to.
Awesome! I was convinced that I was the only one who’d ever heard that binaural 3D tape. It actually made it to CD many years later, but without the bonus demo of the recording ‘head’, which was kinda the coolest part.
