RED HERRING | Blogs Start Job Boards: this is all well and good… but they don’t seem to work all that well. I tried to fill a job by using 37Signal’s job board and you know what I got from it? Zero qualified candidates. Zero! You know where I filled my open position from? Craigslist. How did I get my job? Craigslist. I’m all for reaching “targetted niche audiences” but I was net 0 for the $250 bucks I spent on that board. I could have done 10 postings on craigslist. I’d much prefer someone on craigslist than Kool-Aide drinkers and wannabes anyhow.
