Music + Technology + Random Nonsense from the Music Industry by Ethan Kaplan, VP Product, Live Nation

Has anyone noticed….

That sourceforge.net is probably the worst user-experience site that the average geek depends on? I’m ripping a DVD and remastering it, trying to avoid loosing quality in the process (this is legal, btw). To do so you need about three programs on the Mac, two of which are in Sourceforge.

Finding the files are easy. However, from finding the project page to actually downloading a binary takes an average of 3-4 clicks. That is terrible, especially given how heavy the pages of SourceForge have become. I understand the need for ads, but page load after page load is irritating.

Someone please: AJAX up Sourceforge. Thanks.

Yes! It is good to know I am not the only one that thinks their layout/organization sucks!
